    Qingfeng CHEN

Qingfeng Chen received his B.S. in 2003 and Ph.D in June 2008 from University of Science and Technology of China. In July 2008, he joined in Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) to pursue postdoctoral research on developing humanized mouse models. In 2010, he was promoted as research scientist in SMART. He Joined in Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR as a group leader in January 2012 to establish humanized mouse unit. He is currently a Principal Investigator in IMCB, joint Principal Investigator in National Cancer Centre Singapore and adjunct assistant professor in Department of Microbiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Qingfeng Chen is also an awardee of Gilead Sciences International Research Scholar and Singapore National Research Foundation Fellowship. His research interest is developing humanized mouse models for the study of human infectious diseases, cancers, autoimmune diseases and stem cells.

    Humanized Mouse Unit (HMU)

Humanized mouse refers to mouse stably reconstituted with human cells and tissues. Our mission is to develop humanized mouse models to closely recapitulate in vivo human biology to study human diseases and drug development. Currently our research areas cover:
