New appointments in IMCB: Emilie Bard-Chapeau and Kenneth Ban

IMCB Congratulates Dr. Emilie Bard-Chapeau and Dr. Kenneth Ban.

IMCB is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr. Emilie Bard-Chapeau and Dr. Kenneth Ban as Assistant Principal Investigators. Emilie and Kenneth both completed their postdoctoral work under the guidance of Neal Copeland and Nancy Jenkins, and will each continue their research at IMCB working with the Sleeping Beauty transposon system for cancer gene discovery.

Emilie’s lab will explore the clinical relevance of new target genes and novel metabolic pathways recently identified in liver cancer, with the hope to identify and optimize genetic carcinoma therapies.  Kenneth’s lab will prioritize and validate candidate cancer genes identified in human prostate and breast cancers using a combinatorial approach in order to distinguish driver cancer genes.
